SPEAKERS' INTERACTIVE SESSION WITH FSL WOMEN MEMBERS AND OFFICIALS: 16 Days of Activism against Women and Children

16 Days of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children campaign takes place from 25 November to 10 December 2017. This year the campaign will be held under the theme: "Count Me in: Together Moving a Non-Violent South Africa Forward",
With the above said, a dialogue on violence against women and children will be held to focus on the problem, discuss the causes and to find appropriate solutions. As Legislature, the Speaker found it imperative that we host our own and include an interactive session with all women in Free State Legislature.

As the Speaker of the Law making institution it is very close to the Speakers heart to empower women especially in the workplace. It is very important for the Women of FSL to feel safe and respected in a work place. As part of the Speaker's Special Programs; the Speaker will host an interactive session with FSL Women (Members and Officials) as a way to:

    Commemorate 16 Days of Activism on No Violence against Women and Girls;

    Engage Women on day -day related challenges both at work and home settings;

    Acknowledge efforts made by FSL women in ensuring full realization of the Institutional mandate

    Rebuild moral and motivate women to thrive in their own skills and abilities in order to help build a safer FSL working environment
